Via del Corso
Via del Corso
Structured around a story - an intriguing noir comedy - this highly-motivating innovative course makes learning Italian simple, enjoyable, and effective.
The story, which is set in various Italian cities, unfolds through alternate episodes of a video series and short chapters of a graphic novel. Offering complete versatility, the sitcom can also be listened to in the style of a radio drama, while animated versions of the comic strips are also included in levels A1 and A2, providing a truly diverse and engaging learning and teaching experience. The video series and graphic novel are fully integrated into the course, along with original cultural videos, all of which present practical and idiomatic language in an authentic contemporary context.
The systematic course structure promotes gradual progression in grammar, vocabulary and communicative functions. The variety of multimedia, games and interactive activities maintains interest and encourages students to communicate effectively from the outset as they watch the story unfold.
The course is complemented by a range of online resources including interactive versions of the books, progress tests, games, MP3 versions of the audio tracks (which can be played either at natural speaking-pace or at a slower pace to aid comprehension and intonation), videos and multilingual glossaries. The student's books contain an access code for all the online resources including the interactive book. In addition, a boxed card game "Gioco di società" is also available to further support each level of the course.
