"Spektrum Deutsch" is a modern and communicative textbook for German as a Foreign Language by the successful authors' Anne Buscha and Szilvia Szita.
The course is aimed at motivated adult learners who want to quickly achieve recognizable success in learning the German language. It contains particularly relevant vocabulary and essential linguistic structures, interesting topics and everyday-oriented dialogues and texts for everyday life, work and study.
With its wealth of texts and exercises it meets the linguistic and intellectual demands of adult learners at home and abroad. The proven methodological approach of the authors and the clear, transparent structure support purposeful and effective learning.
The coursebook and workbook are combined in in one volume that is characterized by clear structure and clear layout. Each part of the series of textbooks consists of 12 chapters and includes a test in the appendix to prepare for the language exam and a summary of the linguistic structures covered in the book.
The individual chapters are divided into sections: the main part includes reading and listening texts, oral and written communication tasks, vocabulary training, exercises and explanations of structures and phonetics exercises. Basic skills are treated and trained here. A second in-depth section offers exercises on vocabulary and structures that can be worked on in self-study. The overviews of relevant phrases, verbs in context and structures help to revise and consolidate what has been covered in the chapter. A self-evaluation test is included so that learning success can be checked independently at the end of each chapter. The books are accompanied by two audio CDs for listening comprehension training and an answer key.
There is additional digital material available on the Schubert Verlag website including bilingual glossaries, the app WORT + SATZ for Android and an audio app for Android and iOS as well as online exercises.
