A collection of graded readers in Portuguese, written by Ana Sousa Martins (author of the Contos com Nível series of graded readers), in collaboration with Ana Paula Gonçalves (co-author) and Sofia Alcântara (illustrator).
The readers in this series are aimed primarily at children and young people, although they will also appeal to adults at any age. These world-famous stories can be enjoyed by learners of Portuguese as a foreign language, as well as learners of Portuguese as a heritage language and Portuguese as a non-native language.
Comprising 3 volumes in total (covering CEFR levels A1, A2 and B1 respectively), the collection presents just under 60 traditional tales from all over the world, including traditional Portuguese tales. Each volume provides scope for extensive reading, and each story has been carefully re-written to facilitate understanding.
