A practical grammar book with exercises dedicated to advanced level Italian (CEFR B2+/C2). GrammaticAvanzata takes a communicative approach, helping students to develop the skills they need to fully express themselves accurately and effectively in Italian. Through reflection and inductive strategies, students will discover a range of expressive forms and how to use them in increasingly complex sentence structures.
Despite dealing with advanced grammar, the book employs relatively simple language and avoids using technical terminology in order to aid understanding. Additional 'info boxes' allow students to delve deeper into particular aspects of the language and address any potential uncertainties with further clarification.
The book consists of 17 units and 4 tests and is organized into four main sections:
Completing the meaning of a sentence
Expressing clauses of cause and effect
Expressing clauses of time and manner
Expressing other clauses
Each chapter provides a series of diverse exercises so that students can practise applying the skills they have learnt. Certain terms and expressions are revisited in the 'infolingua' boxes which focus attention on the pragmatic usage of the language. Answers to all the exercises are given in the appendix.
