A practical Italian grammar series that is comprehensive and easy to use. GP guides students gradually through beginners to advanced level Italian (CEFR A1-C1), helping to improve not only grammatical understanding but also more general communication skills and lexical knowledge.
The textbook presents Italian grammar in context through a variety of texts and dialogues. The principle structures are addressed in 60 units, analysing the most frequent uses in clear and simple language. The grammar rules and explanations are accompanied by a multitude of written and listening exercises. The book also includes 60 short tests (one for each unit) plus helpful appendices on grammatical terminology and phonetics. The answers to all the exercises are provided at the back of the book along with an index for easy reference. The audio tracks are available online free-of-charge as well as a range of complementary activities and interactive games and resources, including access to the textbook in digital format.
The textbook is now available in two versions: choose between the monolingual Italian edition and the special edition for English speakers which is identical in content but with the added benefit of the explanations and instructions being written in English, to aid understanding.
An additional workbook (in Italian), which offers hundreds of supplementary exercises for even more extensive practice, is also available to purchase separately.
