ELI Photo Cards
A collection of 75 photographic flashcards available in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian designed to stimulate class discussion with students at intermediate and advanced level (CEFR B1-B2).
The cards are a valuable teaching aid to get students talking to each other in the target langauge, either in pairs or groups, on topical points of interest. Discussion is introduced and guided by thought-provoking questions and keywords printed on the back of the cards, together with a thumbnail image of what is on the front.
The teacher's guide contained in the pack gives the teacher suggestions of learning pathways and extra ways to use ELI Photo Cards to develop and practice students' skills.
Topics include: globalisation, pollution, alternative energies, eating habits, human rights, racism, social problems, development and underdevelopment, how families are changing, fostering, adoption, solidarity, bullying, school and work, dreams, extreme sports, evolution, trends, tattoos and piercings, social networks and technology, being a parent and being a child, behaviour and appearances.
