This course for young learners aged 4 to 11 focuses on the development of listening skills through practical and enjoyable story-telling, as well as songs and poetry. Particular attention is given to the narration of stories which are both motivating and engaging for children in terms of linguistic register and content. All four language skills are developed through the course but the focus on listening also makes it ideal for children with learning difficulties.
This 5 volume course uses authentic but simple Italian (short sentences, colloquial expressions and exclamations) which reflect the everyday language of the children themselves. Each volume introduces aspects of Italian culture and topics aimed at the relevant age group with clear colourful illustrations incorporating a fluid language progression.
A teacher's guide accompanies each volume, which includes everything from lesson plans and audio tracks to instructions for games and extra supplementary materials.
