Forte!
This monolingual course for primary school children is fun and easy-to-follow, equipping teachers with a vast number of motivating games and communicative activities to use in the classroom. Two introductory volumes for 4-7 year olds 'Piccolo e forte!' are now available in addition to 'Forte!', the main three-level course for 7-11 year olds.
To engage the children and retain their interest, the course is linked by a cartoon which charts the adventures of a group of children of different nationalities. The rich material in each volume includes: colourful illustrations of the young characters and their friends; songs and rhymes; games; and 'cut and stick' activities. Forte! 1, 2 and 3 are also accompanied by a CD-ROM. This contains karaoke songs for the children to enjoy whilst developing their language skills. It also offers a 3D animated video of a dialogue for each unit which can be played with or without subtitles.
Whilst the course takes a predominantly communicative approach, the section "L'angolo della grammatica" in Forte 1, 2 and 3 provides hints and opportunities to practise simple grammar structures and rules. The teacher's guides offer useful information on how to maximise the activities and provide additional photocopiable materials.
For added fun and extra activities, a set of over 50 games including board games and cards is also available to complement the course at all levels.
