The Berthe (Berta) books are a series of storybooks in French and Spanish aimed at primary school children or others beginning to learn French. They are used in schools as far apart as the Scilly Isles and the Isle of Bute, but are also excellent for mums and dads to read with and to their children. All books contain a vocabulary list and two word games.
Ideal for Primary French or beginners and now for those starting Spanish as well. Berthe is an elderly, but seriously cool witch. She can handle anything, from the very odd game of rugby, to a night out with her strange friends, to a cookery session that goes with a bang! Her constant companion is her ice-cream loving cat - the dark, silent type who has a lot to put up with. Each book has a QR code linking to a recording of the story.
Due to popular demand some of the Berthe the Witch series of books are now available in simple Spanish. ¡Hola Berta! and La Semana de Berta cover the same ground as the French books and have the story, vocabulary list, word search and game.
