For pupils aged 8 - 12 , Bonne Nouvelle takes a fun approach to make learning enjoyable for pupils. There are activities and games to suit all types of learners, and learning objectives take the form of challenges to be solved with the help of the main character and further challenges are included as a means of assessment.
The course uses a communicative and action-oriented approach and raises awareness of learning French and French language and culture. Each chapter contains 4 leçons: an introduction to the topic; an exploration of vocabulary and phonetics; grammar and conversation are covered in comic strips; the fourth lesson includes short articles on the topic and the chapter concludes with a final project task. The teachers' guides are available to download from the publishers' website.
