Quiosque Literário is simultaneously an anthology of contemporary literary texts in Portuguese and an invaluable resource for students of Portuguese as a Foreign Language. It is aimed at adult and young adult learners of Portuguese, and covers CEFR levels B2-C2. Answers to the exercises are provided at the back of the book, making this a very flexible guide (as it can be used both in the classroom and at home for self-study purposes).
Each of the literary texts included in this book - whether it be a song, a chronicle, a poem or a short story - is accompanied by vocabulary notes and explanations that aim to facilitate learners' understanding of the content. Furthermore, this book includes the following: practical exercises to expand vocabulary and work on grammatical issues, conversation topics, oral expression activities, creative writing topics, and proposals for discussions on translation. In addition to this, at the end of each unit, there are suggestions for additional reading material, films and songs relating to the texts.
