A collection of seven stories about the people of Rome. We meet everyone from waiters to thieves and they each narrate their adventures - and more often misadventures - in the first person.
It is a colorful stylization, and it manages to capture the stories of different people with a charming tone and lots of humor from the writer.
C-series (CEFR B1 - Intermediate) Core vocabulary approx. 1800 words

These stories really do deserve their level 3 rating: they are not easy. But they are worth working on. Moravia's writing has the depth needed to hold the attention of older students.
