These stories introduced some useful vocabulary and as with all Easy Readers were a satisfying read but the content did not appeal. I have read Italian literature of this period in translation which I have found interesting and enjoyable and wonder whether something was lost in the simplification. I have only read these once so may get more from these on further readings.
