We want to build a select list of practising teachers of major European languages at all levels, to help us evaluate the brilliant range of new courses and other teaching materials that arrive in our Marketing department every month.

We offer a good hourly rate and free 20-student packs for classroom testing where appropriate. Detailed guidelines will be provided.

Spanish department - The European Bookshop, London

The European Bookshop is a department of European Schoolbooks Ltd (ESB). For more information please browse ‘all our sites’.

We are looking for an experienced bookseller to develop and deepen our business with London’s Hispanophone community and everyone else interested in the language and literatures of the Spanish-speaking countries.

The successful candidate will be expected to spend some time out and about, to call on educational establishments and other customers, and work with our marketing department to prepare workshops, author readings and presentations in the bookshop and elsewhere.

The successful candidate will speak and read Spanish fluently to at least degree standard or CEFR level C2. He/she will also speak, read and write English to a good standard.

Working hours are 8.5 per day, including lunch hour, worked normally between 9:30 and 18:30 on Monday to Friday. However he/she will be willing to work evenings and weekends whenever required.

Salary £18,000 - £22,000 according to experience
