Taxi!

"Taxi" is a simple and equally weighted course which offers a practical and communicative approach to learning written and spoken French. Additionally, by practicing the various basic written skills and undertaking mini written and spoken tasks, "Taxi" provides students with a thorough introduction to French culture.
The course consists of nine topical units which include an introductory page outlining the objectives of the unit; a page of tests and two double pages concentrating on learning skills and written skills. The first of these two double page sections will work on meaning and discourse with oral and written exercises with a section dedicated to pronunciation and a table summarising all the grammar points and functions of speech. The written skills section teaches students to recognise and understand different styles of writing and sets them mini tasks as a way of testing their knowledge.
This course prepares students to unit A1 of the "DELF 1er degré" and provides approximately 70 to 90 hours of classroom study.
