Schritte International' is a new edition of 'Schritte', adapted for adolescent and adult learners worldwide.

Each chapter of the coursebook begins with a photo-story which introduces the topic for the chapter, the material which will be learnt and demonstrates the linguistic structures which will be practised in the following pages. Using a variety of clearly laid out exercises students see and practice new vocabulary in its correct grammatical context and have the opportunity to work out the grammar rules for themselves. The new material is then reinforced through a series of exercises for all the four key skills based on authentic sources such as adverts, newspaper articles, invitations, letters, timetables, postcards, emails, public anouncements, telephone conversations and radio programmes with role play exercises involving students in asking for information, arranging meetings and making telephone calls.

Each chapter ends with a "Zwischenspiel" a spread of culturally based listening or reading texts with activities. The workbook section contains exercises corresponding to those in the coursebook for additional practice together with full vocabulary lists.
