Le sang des promesses
Le sang des promesses

Littoral:
After finding his father at the morgue, a man decides to have him buried in his country of origin, ravaged by years of war, where cemetaries are overflowing, where the man's relatives refuse to take in his remains. Wilfrid's journey will take him through painful encounters to the core of his identity. "Littoral" is the first of the four plays constituting the cycle "Le Sang des promesses".
Incendies:
The story starts with the death of a woman who decided a long time ago she would not speak anymore. She delivers her last wishes to her twin children, Jeanne and Simon, and thus starts a long and heavy journey of revelations on their identity. Second part of "Le Sang des promesses".
Forêts:
The third part of "Le Sang des promesses" continues Wajdi Mouawad's exploration of subconscious legacy, through the entangled stories and unexpected portraits of a decaying lineage. From 1917 through to today, he paints the picture of an epilecptic world where men repeat the same wrenches as their ancestors.
Ciels:
In the final part of the "Sang des promesses" cycle, six characters, locked up in a secret place, use ultra high-tech methods of spying and phone tapping to try and solve a mystery surrounding the planning of a terrorist attack. But as they attempt to save the world, they witness their everyday life gradually crumbling away, unable as they are to tell where they are and for how long.
