Littérama

This excellent series develops and tests students' analysis skills and enables them to recognise the genre, structure and type of text in the main stages of French literature from the Medieval to the 20th century, and focuses on the reading and writing techniques needed for literary criticism.

The first book in the series, "Clefs de lecture" provides the necessary tools for analysing literary texts, and for recognising the characteristics of each literary genre (fiction, poetry, theatre), the style, the structure and types of text.

The other 3 volumes give an overview of the literatures of each century in their social, historical and artistic context.
