This is the 'Cambridge English Course' in a completely revised set of four new course books to cater for beginners through to those learners at an upper-intermediate stage. The course maintains its original and highly successful multi-syllabus appraoch. There has been some reordering of language items and vocabulary whilst every fourth unit gives a thorough over-view of grammar, functions, pronunciation, notions and new words covered in the preceding lessons. Importantly learners are not only exposed to controlled language but also to authentic listening material and reading texts which develop their ability to cope in situations and with language they have not previously encountered.
