Nuevo Sueña 4 is designed for students who already have a very high level of Spanish. It aims to develop students' communicative competences to the extent that they are able to differentiate between linguistic uses and to select the most appropriate one in each situation, according to factors such as the intention of the speaker, the linguistic and extralinguistic context or the characteristics of the speakers.

The level 4 student's book is divided into 10 units, each of which are structured into the following subheadings:

"Palabras, palabras" (focusing on vocabulary in context).

"Normas y reglas" (focusing on the practice and use of grammatical structures in context).

"Bla, bla, bla" (designed to improve students' oral expression whilst at the same time allowing them to revise the grammatical content covered in the previous section).

"Toma nota" (with an emphasis on writing and spelling) and "Suena bien" (with an emphasis on phonetics).

"Maneras de Vivir" (focusing on differences and similarities between cultures and traditions in Spain and Latin America).

"Recapitulación" (containing questions designed to assess students' understanding of the content covered in that particular unit).

There is a multilingual glossary at the back of the book, containing all of the vocabulary presented in the "Palabras palabras" sections in each unit.

** N.B.: Sayings, taboo terms and Americanisms have not been translated.**

Furthermore, there is a double audio CD containing all the listening exercises.
